Four people were killed on Thursday night following two shootings in Rockmart, U.S. state of Georgia, police confirmed on Twitter.

AP also reported that one person was also injured, citing police source.

An earlier report said two other people were injured.

The local authority stated three regional officers are responding to the incident and the cause of the shootings remains unclear at this stage.

Local media WXIA-TV reported the case is believed to be drug-related, and a manhunt has been launched for the suspect.
