Abstract : Xinhua Silk Road, a multilingual Belt and Road-centered integrated economic information platform run by China's Xinhua News Agency, on Thursday rolled out an upgraded version of the English economic data module, aiming to provide reliable data query service for participants of the BRI.

BEIJING, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Xinhua Silk Road, a multilingual Belt and Road-centered integrated economic information platform run by China's Xinhua News Agency, on Thursday rolled out an upgraded version of the English economic data module, aiming to provide reliable data query service for participants of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The upgraded English economic data module has expanded the breadth of data, improved the data search functions, and enhanced the visual display.

It has four types of data, including macroeconomic data, industry data, Asia-Pacific enterprise data, and M&A transaction data.

Specifically, it covers data of more than 100 million Asia-Pacific companies, more than 1 million pieces of M&A transaction data, and over 80,000 economic indicators and industry indicators.

The upgraded version provides users with strong data support to study economic development trend of major global economies, evaluate development prospects of China's industries such as steel, agricultural products (soybeans, soybean meal, palm oil, tea, poultry meat, etc.), understand performance of listed companies on China's A-share market, and grasp the global economic activities at a micro level.
